Is 55.10-11; Rom 8.18-23; Mt 13.1-23
- Take heart! The words of the prophet Isaiah assures us that the Gospel of Life that we preach will not be fruitless. How can we be certain? Because we hear in today’s readings that God’s message will “succeed in the thing for which [He] sent it”.
- Let us together be fearless in promulgating the Gospel of Life, spreading the seeds of truth liberally and knowing, as Jesus’s parable today indicates, that some of those seeds are destined to fall on good soil and to bear much fruit.
- After striving to prepare our own hearts as best we can to allow the seeds of the Gospel of Life to germinate within us, we Christians must do what we can to prepare the hearts of others, and this is often best accomplished through our prayer and fasting on their behalf. Prayer moves mountains, and maybe there are fields below those mountains!
That God may prepare the hearts of all men and women in Canada for the sowing of the seeds of the Gospel of Life. We pray to the Lord…
